Sounded good...tasted even better. We did omit the vanilla baking chip drizzle, but added M&Ms and cashews. This makes a great tailgate snack!

I used the entire box of cereal. I added 1 cup of vanilla chips and 1 cup of pecans, and stirred them in before microwaving mixture. This was an easy recipe to make, keep this in mind when you have to stir up something quick for a party or get-together. This is addicting! Susan

This is so delicious. I had a really hard time getting white chocolate to melt and drizzle easily. I suggest just adding M&Ms or white chocolate chips at the end, unless you are more talented than me. I added a handful of peanuts before the caramel glaze, which was delicious! If you want this slightly chewy rather than crunchy, add about a tbsp more of corn syrup.

Since my oven is not working I decided to try this recipe. I used mix of wheat, rice and corn chex, mini pretzels and popcorn trying to keep it to 8 cups combined. I also added slightly crushed peanuts and toffee bits to the mix. The "carmel" coating wasn't the gooey carmel but a nice light glazed coating almost like a crunchy toffee. I was afraid that cooking the whole mix in the microwave at the end was going to make the mix "soggy" but it held its crunch. Very easy to make. Tastes good too.

Wonderful recipe! I followed the recipe completely the first time and was very pleased. I later modified it to give as Christmas gifts - added M&M's (rather than drizzle), peanuts, Cheerio's, and pretzels. The result was a wonderfully sweet & salty treat...very addictive!

This is a tastey recipe...very easy to make. The drizzle didn't work out so well so I had to just add white and milk chocolate chips to the mix.

This is a 5-star recipe all on it's own, but it's a 10-star in my book with the following additions and changes: I added 2 cups of pecan halves and 2 cups of pretzels. One 14.25 ounce box of Chocolate Chex mix is just over 9 cups so I put the whole box in. I increased the butter to one stick (or 8 TBS), increased brown sugar to 1 full cup packed plus 1 heaping TBS and increased corn syrup to 4 TBS and a 1/4 plus a little more tsp of the baking soda. It was a little work to mix it all up, but WELL worth it in the end! This has turned into our favorite!

The best snack mix ever! Took this to a family gathering and the kids and adults loved it. I noticed that my nephew imparticular kept taking cupfuls back to his seat. So what was left....not much I bagged up and sent home with him. Of course trhen my oldest daughter asked where's the mix...I said oops! So be sure tyo double the recipe like I did. Takes about 1 and 2/3 boxes of cereal to do so. Then I had milk chocolate chips I also melted and drizzed on the mix with the white chips. My husband who is not a huge fan of chocoalte was in lovce with this also. I have ideas already on how to add items to the mix for next year at Christmas time. But as for now it couldn't be any more perfect as written in the original recipe!!! 5++++++ stars!

Sooo addicting! I followed the recipe to a T (except we couldn't find white chips, so we deleted it completely). So, so, so, so good. You do NOT need the chocolate. I repeat you don't need the chips! I think it tastes fantastic without it and would make it messy if you had chocolate drizzle (melting on fingers, etc.) I agree with a pp who said nuts would be good with this. As I write this, I am snacking on this mix with some almonds. Perfect combo of sweet and salty. Recipe gets brownie points b/c it is all made in the microwave. WooHoo!!!

Really good!I'm not big on microwaving, so I prepared it like I would do caramel. I put the butter, sugar, and cornsyrup in a pan over medium low heat until it was melted, then increased the heat to get it bubbling (about med-high). I let it simmer for about 3 minutes, then stirred in the baking soda, let it simmer for about 15-30 sec more (stirring constantly) and then poured over the cereal. You have to work fast before it hardens up, or put your mixing bowl with cereal over another bowl of hot water to keep it "loose". I then drizzled with melted peanut butter chips, and YUM!

This was awesome and totally addicting! I got so many compliments and I've been asked to bring it back for Christmas. It's so simple and easy, and now a favorite. Next time I'm going to try adding peanuts and pretzels for a more salty-sweet snack.

Great recipe for a quick sweet snack. Melt the white chips at 50% power - not high - or they will burn. Also, you can add pecans or peanuts for an even bigger "bang." My daughter made this and said she also added minimarshmallows for a different twist.
